Once we become great shooters, getting shots will likely become harder. You will get a reputation for being able to knock down shots and the defense will key on you even more. It will be very important that you catch the ball ready to shoot.
There is a difference between looking for a shot and being prepared to shoot it. Looking for a shot is catching the ball then looking. Being prepared is being ready to shoot before the opportunity comes. Get your hands up and your knees bent and square up to the target as much as possible.
It isn’t a bad thing to be a greedy shooter, if you are shooting good shots and making them. Remember, it is more selfish to not take a shot that you should be taking, than it is to dribble or pass. So look for opportunities before the ball is in your hands.
